Flashcat recently photographed Marcella Detroit during her ten day residency at Boisedales in Canary Wharf, London. One of the most successful singer / songwriters in musical history, she cut her teeth in the early 70s working with iconic artists including Eric Clapton, co-writing a clutch of classic hits including Lay Down Sally. She started writing for and collaborating with a list of legends including Aretha Franklin and Elton John before going on to enjoy huge chart success with her band, Shakespeare’s Sister.
