DAY JOBS

Lagardere

The Olympic Channel

Cathy Jones lead a team on location and in post production as Series Producer for Day Jobs, a brand new documentary series for The Olympic Channel, a new online platform. The five films featured fifteen Olympic athletes who juggle their hectic lives while training for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Each film showcased three athletes who were filmed by crews directed by Cathy Jones at various international locations, including in Japan, Singapore, USA, Canada and Spain. Two days were spent with each champion, one at work performing their day job, the other while they were training for Olympic competition. From a US army captain who was a medal-winning bobsleigh champion, a Japanese Buddhist priest aiming for Olympic kayak gold to a military firefighter who is Spain’s number one karate champion.

The series post production took place at OutPost Facilities at Pinewood Studios.
